A place where dreaming is not necessary
Our agriturismo is located in the Alta Langa region, on the border between the municipalities of Cissone and Serravalle Langhe.
It is enough to climb the hills of the Langhe to immerse yourself in a new landscape, where vineyards give way to hazelnut groves, the wild beauty of dense forests, and the unspoiled nature surrounding the small villages with their castles.
Each village is a world unto itself, a microcosm where one can enjoy the simplicity of daily gestures.
The Alta Langa is a succession of rugged hills, capricious, cool in summer, covered in snow in winter, and in autumn adorned with the intense colors of โfoliage.โ
The heights mirrored by the Alps chain rising in the background are tousled by the โmarin,โ the sea wind that warms and scents.
Starting from โLa casa di Talin,โ we can choose from numerous itineraries that will lead us through vineyards, villages, and castles, offering us marvelous landscapes.
Langa e Alta Langa
Diano dโAlba is renowned for its splendid 360ยฐ panoramic view and derives its name from the goddess Diana. Before delving into the historic center, on the left, there is a small temple dedicated to this goddess, nestled into the rocky side. It is interesting to note that where the belvedere now stands, there once was a castle; today, only a few remains of this important fortress are left, recently restored.
Another captivating panoramic view can be enjoyed from the Giant Bench number 65, with ruby-red reflections, of Dolcetto dโAlba. This bench is set among vineyard rows and offers a charming glimpse of the Langhe. The bench is easily accessible by car in just over five minutes.
Grinzane Cavour is a village largely shaped by Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour. The statesman, mayor of the village from 1832 to 1848, played a significant role in the cultivation and management of the surrounding vineyards and lands. He was the first to experiment with the production of the famous Barolo wine in local cellars. The Grinzane Cavour Castle, truly imposing with its square plan and particularly tall tower, houses evocative halls that contain a permanent museum of peasant civilization. This historic fortress is also the venue for the World Auction of White Truffle of Alba, a prestigious event held on the second Sunday of November. Numerous international celebrities gather here to participate in the auction, with the proceeds going to hospitals and charitable organizations, adding a touch of prestige and solidarity.
A recommended stop is the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese โCavour,โ where you can taste local wines and discover regional excellences.
Grinzane Cavour is also known for its production of nougat.
A visit to the ancient nougat shop is a must for those wishing to taste the local hazelnut products typical of the area.
La Morra is a charming village on the hills of the Langhe, known for its lively historic center and spectacular panoramic views. Among its main attractions are the Belvedere, the centennial Cedar of Lebanon, and the Chapel of Barolo. Known as "the balcony of the Langhe," La Morra also offers a rich gastronomic experience with traditional restaurants and the historic Cantina Comunale. Donโt miss the Church of the Confraternity of San Sebastiano and the Bell Tower, which offer breathtaking views.
Barolo, the famous village of the Langhe, is renowned for its eponymous wine, Barolo, produced from Nebbiolo grapes.
Its historic center is rich in wine shops and historic cellars. The majestic Falletti Castle of Barolo, dating back to the 10th century and home to the Falletti family, offers a stunning view of the Langhe. The castle houses the Wi-Mu, an interactive museum dedicated to the history of Barolo, and the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo. In front of the castle is the intriguing corkscrew museum, a collection of antique corkscrews.
Castiglione Falletto, a village with charming historical allure, has preserved the authenticity of its territory. The imposing and majestic Castle, although currently under restoration and not open to visitors, perfectly embodies the ancient aura of the place. The narrow cobbled streets of the historic center create an authentic and evocative atmosphere, while the centuries-old surrounding vineyards tell the long winemaking tradition of the area and keep the local wine culture alive.
Monforte dโAlba is very elegant, with a central square and small streets that wind uphill leading to hilltop landscapes. It is surely the most โcosmopolitanโ village, with the pulsating heart being the Horszowski Auditorium, a natural amphitheater with exceptional acoustics. Monforte will amaze you with its characteristic views and the vivid colors of its houses. You can stroll through the historic center and visit the parish church of Madonna della Neve, in neo-Gothic style with a Latin cross plan.
Serralunga dโAlba is home to a unique castle, famous for its beauty and charm. Although it has a military appearance, the castle primarily watched over local production activities. A visit to the castle is an experience not to be missed: passionate and knowledgeable guides engage both adults and children with stories, anecdotes, and curiosities, revealing the rich noble history of 14th-century Piedmont.
Dogliani, famous for its wines, craftsmanship, and traditions, is surrounded by gentle hills. Every spring, it hosts the TV and New Media Festival. Among its attractions are the Castle and the Einaudi Museum. The cemetery houses the remains of Luigi Einaudi, the first president of the Republic.
The Bottega del Vino Dogliani, located in the underground cellars of the former Carmelite convent, offers the opportunity to taste and purchase the renowned wines of the Dogliani Docg denomination.
Bossolasco, known as "the village of roses" for its colorful flowerbeds, features narrow cobbled streets and offers a romantic and inviting atmosphere with a splendid view of the surrounding hills.
Serravalle enjoys a unique panoramic view of the Alps and the surrounding plain. The town hall is located in a historic 17th-century building, while the Oratory of San Michele Arcangelo, dating back to the 1200s, represents an important artistic masterpiece. Some buildings have recently been enhanced with projects by artist Tremlett.
Cissone is characterized by a picturesque rural atmosphere and an authentic natural setting. Surrounded by hills covered with hazelnut groves and forests, it offers enchanting panoramas and tranquility.

Barbaresco, a picturesque medieval village to the east of Alba on the Tanaro River, offers scenic walks and magnificent views from its famous 12th-century tower. The historic Gaja cellars in the town center produce world-renowned wines. A visit to the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco is recommended to taste fine labels and admire the nearby Meridiana di Barbaresco.
Neive, located a few kilometers from Alba in the direction of Asti, is one of Italy's most beautiful villages and still retains its medieval layout, with narrow alleys leading to the historic center, a medieval gem that houses sacred places and historic buildings, including the ancient Rococo-style Town Hall in Piazza Italia and the nearby Torre dellโOrologio. Neive seems suspended in time, and it is pleasant to take a break in one of the local wine bars.
Particularly in autumn, but worth admiring year-round, is the facade of the Aromatario, a hotel-restaurant covered in colorful leaves. The Museo della Grappa della donna Selvatica pays tribute to the work of Romano Levi.
In Treiso, you will find the evocative "Rocca dei Sette Fratelli," a chasm created by water erosion with a local legend waiting to be discovered. You can visit several cellars and wine bars to taste local wines.
In Coazzolo, besides the striking vineyard of colored pastels, there is also the famous Chiesetta di Coazzolo, surrounded by vineyards, built in the 17th century and decorated in 2017 by artist David Tremlett. Although it is not yet as famous as the Chapel of Barolo, the little church, with its delicate colors, offers a spectacular panorama of the Moscato hills extending to Monviso.
